the reception guy at our hostel looks like zac hanson...

Hi everyone!

It's our last night in Paris- tomorrow morning we head off to Barcelona. I'm ready to go, surprisingly. I wasn't disappointed with Paris (the city is breathtaking), but I'm tired of being scared of EVERYONE around me, and just ready to move on. We did everything we wanted though, so it's been great.

Yesterday, we went to the Sacre Couer, which is a cathedral up on this huge, beautiful hill. You could see the whole city from up there, it was totally amazing. And the cathedral was beautiful as well. I think the cathedrals might be some of my favorite things we've seen- every single one is just incredible. HUGE and BEAUTIFUL. Afterwards, we walked around the town (Monte Martre), had yummy sandwiches in a little cafe, and headed to the Moulin Rouge. It was really cold, so we basically saw it, took a picture, and ran to the metro station. Still fun, though. We sang the songs from the movie out in front, I can't lie.

Today we went to the Latin Quarter to do some shopping. It was a relaxing day, we walked around the shops and then curled up in a cafe for most of the afternoon- people watching and reading. It was so nice!

As I said, tomorrow morning we head off to Barcelona for five days (then to Madrid). We're both really excited, and neither of us have any idea what to expect. Our hostel is supposed to be great, though, which is reassuring. We've just read a lot about "not expecting to sleep at all"- yikes! Sounds like Emily's gonna be enjoying lots of tequilla in the coming days! :)

All for now, more from Barcelona. We'll see how this goes, 'cause neither of us speaks a WORD of Spanish. Wish us luck!

Love you guys-

Em xo
