So long, Bandana Pants

Hi again- this time from Bath...

Emily and Tara are two happy girls. On Tuesday afternoon, we took a 2-hour train ride from London to Bath, not really knowing what to expect. The ride was beautiful, and we got to see a whole new side of England. It was tons of quaint little towns and rolling green hills with sheep and cows- as Tara said, "even the cows are better here!"

When we arrived in Bath, we were in love. It's seriously like a town that you would make up in your head- the only word I can think of to describe it is "magical". It has cobblestone roads and adorable little shops- butchers, chocolate shops, "cornish pastys", cafes, bookstores, etc. And everyone here is incredibly nice and friendly. There are things that are so old it's hard to grasp, and Roman baths in the middle of shopping roads. It's really unreal. Our hostel is great, too- WARM and cozy. That is, minus the man who slept across from us. I've never heard someone sleep so loudly- I really wouldn't even call it snoring. It sounded like a battle between an ogre and a troll "in a pit of bubbling mud" (Tara finished that last part...)

Our friend Leigh that we met at our hostel in London (the one from Perth that took us out for Australia Day) hooked us up with a friend he has who lives here. His name is Tom, and he's GREAT (just like Leigh!)... Last night he took us out to a few pubs, and today he showed us around the town. We saw Nicholas Cage's house, and JOHNNY DEPP'S house. Then we bought some groceries and went back to his house to cook a fabulous dinner. His home is gorgeous, and his family is just amazing- SO warm and adorable!! Tara and I are practically in tears...

Tomorrow we head back to London for about 6 days. We're excited, but even more excited to go to Paris on the 5th. After that, we still aren't really sure what we're doing. Possibly Barcelona? It's supposed to be warm there!

More soon, guys. Love & miss you all.

Ems xoxo

P.S. This town is so Harry-Potterish that you guys can start calling us Hermoine and Ginny if you want. That's what we've been calling eachother.
